About Bnai Yeshurun
Located in the heart of picturesque suburban Bergen County, just 10 minutes from New York City, Congregation Bnai Yeshurun (CBY), the largest and oldest Orthodox synagogue in Teaneck, is the focal point of a flourishing Orthodox Jewish community which consists of many other Orthodox shuls, a community mikva and eruv, nearby yeshiva day schools and high schools, and convenient kosher shopping and dining.

Congregation Bnai Yeshurun is the spiritual center led by Rabbi Steven Pruzansky for hundreds of families of all ages and backgrounds.  At Congregation Bnai Yeshurun one will find beginners, Yeshiva graduates, newlyweds and retirees, with the largest group - parents with growing children - the core of the shul.  We offer six different minyanim on Shabbat morning and seek worshippers who will appreciate the joys of prayer in an atmosphere of decorum, sanctity and conviviality. Please take a moment to read a message from our rabbi. For a brief video history of our wonderful shul, please click here.

Our youth director runs a superb program with activities during the week, on Shabbat and weekends for children of all ages, from Pre-k through high school. To learn more, click here.

The Bnai Yeshurun Nursery School, under the leadership of our capable director, Fern Amper, provides a loving, warm Judaic atmosphere for 3 and 4 year olds. To learn more, click here.

But that is only a fraction of what we have to offer! We invite you to explore the world, and join the family of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun.
