We would like to take this opportunity to introduce Bnot, the sisterhood of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun, and to tell you a little bit about the programming and services that we coordinate. Our goal is to provide the Bnai Yeshurun community with a variety of events (unique and recurring) that help bring the members of our community together, as well as to provide communal services for various events within the life cycle. Our board members meet monthly to discuss events, coordinate programs, and plan forthcoming ones. The success of our programs depends on the support of you, our community. We rely on the volunteers who help in various capacities and encourage you to see if there is a way you would like to contribute to some of these great programs. We provide catered Shabbos meals to families sitting Shiva.

While this exciting time is quite joyous, it can also be overwhelming for a new mom. This program offers one week of hot fresh meals to help take a load off.

    We regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. Max Spira, beloved father of our member Sari Cooper.

    Shiva will be observed at the Spira residence, 186 Pinehurst Ave., Apt. 2C, in Washington Heights, through Thursday afternoon, April 7.

    Sari will be returning to sit shiva at her home in Teaneck, 1292 Hastings Street, from Thursday at 6:00 PM until Friday at 5:00 PM.

    We regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. Solomon Kranz, beloved father of our member Joanne Zayat.

    The funeral will take place Sunday, March 27, at 11:00 AM, in Israel, at Har Hamenuchot.

    Joanne will sit shiva in Israel at Zelda Hameshoreret 1, Ramot, Jerusalem, through Tuesday afternoon.

    She will be returning to Teaneck to sit shiva at her home, 598 Warwick Ave., beginning Wednesday morning 11:00 AM, through Friday afternoon, April 1.
