Young Members' Minyan

Over the years, Bnai Yeshurun has blossomed from a small shul in an emerging Jewish community to the largest shul in Teaneck, with hundreds of member families and a worldwide reputation. The Young Members' Minyan at Bnai Yeshurun is an environment for younger members of the shul to lead and participate in a minyan that is designed to engage and involve everyone.

There is a shiur after davening, often followed by a kiddush to promote meeting and greeting new faces in the community. In addition, there are regular luncheons and se'udah shelishit programs throughout the year to welcome new members and facilitate their meeting and getting to know the Rabbi and the shul leadership

  • Funeral & Shiva Notice - Seymour Katz


    We regret to inform you of the passing of our longtime member, Seymour Katz, beloved husband of our member Edythe.

    The funeral will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, October 21, at 10:30 AM, at Gutterman Musicant Funeral Home in Hackensack.

    Shiva will be observed at the Katz residence, 1326 Fayette Street, through Monday morning, October 27.

    Minyan times are as follows:

    Shacharit, Wed - Mon - 8:00 AM

  • Funeral & Shiva Notice - Frank


    We regret to inform you of the passing of Evelyn Frank, beloved mother of our affiliate member, Barry Frank.

    The funeral will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 11:00 AM in the Modi'in Cemetery, Israel.

    Barry will sit shiva in Israel, at 50 Yosef, Modi'in, Motza'ei Shabbat through Monday evening.
    He will return to Teaneck and sit shiva at his home, 1344 Dickerson Road, Tuesday morning through Thursday morning, Oct. 24.

    We regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Dov Zlotnick, beloved father of our member Dena Felsen and of Tamar Kahane.

    The funeral took place in Israel yesterday. Dena will be returning to sit shiva at her home, 51 Westminster Ave., Bergenfield, Thursday Sept. 18 through Sunday morning, Sept. 21.
