  • Funeral & Shiva Notice - Schleifer

    Dear Members:

    We regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. Richard Schleifer, beloved brother of our member Steven Schleifer.

    The funeral will take place Sunday, Feb. 7, at 9:30 AM at The Hebrew Institute of Riverdale, 3700 Henry Hudson Parkway, Riverdale, NY.

    Shiva will be observed at the Schleifer residence, 731 Dearborn St., Teaneck, beginning Monday morning, through Friday afternoon, Feb. 12.

    Minyan times are as follows:
    Shacharit, Mon - Fri 7:00 AM

    Mincha/Ma'ariv Mon - Thurs 5:10 PM

    The funeral for Rabbi Moshe Stein, beloved father of Muttie and Shimmie Stein will take place tomorrow (Thursday) at 9:30 AM at Gutterman-Musicant in Hackensack. Shiva will be observed until late Thursday at 1544 54th Street in Boro Park, Friday-Motzaei Shabbat at Muttie's house (507 Maitland Avenue, Teaneck) and Sunday through next Wednesday morning at Shimmie's house (49 Regent Street, Bergenfield).
    Davening Times - Mincha: Sunday-Tuesday at 5:00 PM
    Shacharit: Friday- 7:00 AM; Sunday- 8:00 AM; Monday-Wednesday at 7:00 AM

    The funeral for our longtime member Vera Greenwald will take place tomorrow (Thursday) at Congregation Ahavath Torah in Englewood at 10:00 AM. Shiva will be observed at the Greenwald residence at 558 Warwick Avenue, Teaneck, NJ through next Wednesday morning.

Joel will begin his Shiva in Philadelphia, reachable at 201-417-6549. Joel returns to conclude the Shiva at his home at 358 Winthrop Road in Teaneck beginning Sunday morning through next Wednesday morning.
