Rental Information

Thank you for your interest in having an event at Bnai Yeshurun.

Please note that membership is required prior to rental.  For membership information (Full and/or Affiliate) please visit bnaiyeshurun.org/membership.

Reservations

Reservations are accepted a maximum of TWO YEARS before the English date of the anticipated event. Full details and terms for renting the Social Hall and other spaces at CBY are available in the Rental Agreement.

To determine date availability please contact Elysia Stein, Executive Director, at estein@bnaiyeshurun.org.

To accept a reservation, after date clearance, the following must be submitted to Elysia Stein:

  1. Completed and signed Rental Agreement. Please note there are three signature pages.
  2. A $500 non-refundable down payment check, dated and deposited at the time of reservation. This will go toward your total rental fee with the balance due 1 month before your rental.
  3. A separate, $500 security deposit check, post-dated to the date of the event. This is held in case of any damage to the facility; assuming none, it is either shredded or returned to the renter after the event.

  • What are the dimensions of the Social Hall?
    • The Full Social Hall is approximately 80’x35’
    • The 2/3 section of the Social Hall is approximately 52’x35’
    • The 1/2 section of the Social Hall is approximately 34’x35’
    • The 1/3 section of the Social Hall is approximately 27’x35’
    • The Social Hall Stage is approximately 22’x19’

  • How many people does the Social Hall hold?
    • This answer is very dependent on the setup of the space. In auditorium-style seating, the Social Hall can accommodate 300+. Depending on various floorplan variables (buffet tables, dance floor, etc.) the Social Hall can accommodate 160-220 seated.
       
  • Are tables and chairs included in the rental?
    • Yes, included in your rental fee is the use of the CBY Social Hall chairs (300) and use our standard banquet tables (60” rounds, 72” rounds, 6’ rectangles, 8’ rectangles, serpentine).   • Do you have a screen and projector?
    • The CBY Social Hall has two built-in screens and projectors available for use, included with your rental fee.
