Youth Directors

Rabbi Yehoshua and Rivka Szafranski bring energy, warmth, and deep commitment to their roles as Youth Directors at Congregation Bnai Yeshurun. After gaining extensive experience in both formal and informal Jewish education and directing a wide range of programs through NCSY and Aish HaTorah, they joined the Bnai Yeshurun team in 2019. Since then, the duo has become an integral part of the fabric of the shul, spearheading and leading various initiatives, including weekly youth groups, chesed initiatives, intergenerational activities, and engaging programs. 

Beyond their work with youth, Rabbi Szafranski is a member of the rabbinic team at Bnai Yeshurun. When not at the shul, he can be found serving as a rebbe and member of the guidance team at RKYHS, where he teaches Gemara and Jewish philosophy and supports students’ personal and spiritual growth. Rivka brings her passion and leadership into the professional world as well, working in digital health and clinical trials. Together, they are proud parents of Moshe Dovid, Racheli, Uziel, and Nadiv, and care deeply about building real relationships and creating meaningful Jewish experiences for the families and children of the kehillah.
