The security committee identifies security vulnerabilities and develops plans and procedures to enhance the safety of the shul's facilities and activities
Security Policy Updates
In light of recent changes in NJ firearms laws which make it possible for citizens to obtain a permit to carry a concealed firearm, the shul is currently working to create a formal policy on this matter. In the coming weeks, we will provide additional details for individuals seeking approval to conceal carry on shul premises.
At this time, except for individual(s) who have been previously authorized, no one may bring a firearm or other weapon into CBY or onto its premises. Violation of this policy could endanger yourself and others in our community. We note that anyone carrying a firearm on CBY’s premises without permission may be subject to criminal and/or civil penalties under NJ law.
CBY takes security very seriously. As you are aware, there are many layers of our shul security including armed security officers on the premises. We will continue to do our utmost to ensure that our security team, protocols, and policies are in line with best-practice to keep everyone safe.
Thank you in advance for you compliance and understanding.
